Does Testing Positive for Hepatitis C Anti-bodies mean that I'm Infected

by jacky, May 29, 2001 12:00AM
HI, FORUM

I'm concern because I had a physical about two weeks ago, and my blood test came back positive for hepatitis anti-bodies.  The doctor said that the liver test is negative.  Now what that mean am I infected with the virus or not.  About 1 year ago I had abdominal pain and was taken to the emergency room and the doctor told me that my ultrasound show the my liver was bigger than normal size.  He also stated that I had hepatitis C anti-bodies, therefore they preform further testing and told me everything came back negative.  Now 1 year later I had the same result and I'm confuse I don't know if I'm infected or not.
