Dormat or something then?

I was 17 when I used drugs intravieniously. No other surgeries or needles except shots at the doctor. Nobody wanted the to take my blood for donation because of teenage mono.
I was diagnose by my regular doctor after noticing some consistently high normal range blood test over months and even years in a row. I was 34 when they tested my blood and told me I was positive. I was a heavy drinker. I kind of felt like it was my dare and denial in operation. It also turned out to be a self medication for a underlying case of crazy Bi-Polar chemical imbalance that is unimaginaraly frightening.
I did quit drinking at a treatment center at the age of 44.That is when my raging Bi-Polar stymtoms made me copletely unpreditable and nutty acting. Even after diagnosis, it takes time to make adjustments, it took a good three years to slow up my manics and keep my lows from being self distructive.
Now I am 56 years old. My last Biopsy two years ago was clear. No scarring. Nice and pink. I do have the disease in my blood. and that one number that  is watched closly has always seemed to stay within 1.6 - 2.1 my last test was 1.6 I have the type 1 that is the least treatable. I have decided not to consider treatment because I have urelated renal failure also. Niether illness is expected to reduce my life span. Except I get concerned because I have a ) activity level, Writing tis is about full energy for me. I need excercise.

There are people who can manage to co-exist with the virus as long as they don't put undue stress on the liver (like drinking).  You might be one of them, it's impossible to say.  Renal failure and bi-polar disorder will make you a difficult case to treat with the current interferon/ribavirin therapy.  Stay in touch with a liver specialist (hepatologist) and take his advice.
