Dragonslayer's R7128 EOT test results

Dragonslayer's R7128 EOT test results

I thought I would post my End of Treatment (EOT) test results.

For those that are not aware, here are my details.
I am (was) genotype 1a, high VL, stage 2 grade 2 liver biopsy, possibly infected 20 some odd years. I was treatment naive.

I participated in the Pharmasett/ Roche phase I trial for R7128, a polymerase inhibitor.

I took 1000mg. of the PI twice daily for the first 4 weeks along with pegasys and Copegus (SOC). I then continued with just the pegasys and copegus for an additional 44 weeks.

I was UND by week 4 (6 log drop).

Week 48 (EOT) test results "HCV RNA not detected" (Taqman 2.0)

RBC, WBC,  (and all associated with them) were low. All other tests were Normal.

Next test in 3 months, then 6 months. If all is good That means SVR baby!!!

I know others were interested to know how I made out so I thought I would post.

Wonderful about your RVR and EOT results. The pivotal significance of the RVR says it all.

And I'm still laughing about your twelve inch pianist joke. In fact, I got myself into a bit of hot water telling it. :)

Thanks for sharing and congratulations.

Congratulations on finishing and on your encouraging results; all that's left is the wait ..

and many thanks to you and Epi for your good summaries of the R7128 trial. It  looks like a great candidate, I only wish the FDA's definition of "fastrack" was a bit faster.
