Dual action cleanse

Dual action cleanse

Hey has anyone ever taken this stuff? Its colon cleanser. It's herbal and I am interested it. But wanted to know if anyone has taken it while on tx or should I wait? It claims that with a clean shoot your body absorbes meds better? Any thoughts?

I looked the product up.

The main problem I see is that you're directed to take it 30-days on and 30-days off. And not surprisingly, it has lots of fiber in it. My concern would be it may interfere with your ribavirn absorption, especially when taken every day. Personally, I would not take it while on treatment. Like anything else of this sort, always run it by your doctor.

That said, it looks like a good product with all natural ingredients and I just might try it myself for a week or so. But I've finished with treatment, so thankfully the riba issue isn't an issue with me.

So you think that after tx would be ok like for you liver?

The ingredients look harmless to me in terms of liver toxicity, my main issue was with riba absorption. Fiber supplementation like "Dual Action" might interfere with that.

Still, I would still check with your doctor about taking it even after treatment as it may interfere with other drugs you may be taking. (A good idea to run any herb or supplement past your liver doctor). This is also the recommendation on their web site and they have a few other warnings such as don't take if you're pregnant and a few other conditions such as diarreah (diarrhea), etc. They definitely had a lawyer go over their copy :)

I always stick to the "if you don't know for sure, don't do it" mindset.

In the end - if it hurts the course of treatment at ALL...it's not worth losing SVR over things such as this.

All I know is that ad campaign is something else. Anyone notice that that dude looks a lot like John Waters ?

Everytime I see it on TV I wince. That thin little mustache and talking about poop being caked on your innards like mud...

LOL !!!! John Wayne had 35 lbs of poop in him when he died, etc etc....

For those of you that have ever had a colonoscopy, trust me, you can 'cleanse' your intestines in about 24 hours. I have the pictures to prove it.

What is your theory on how it could possible make you lose SVR if you took it after tx? Because Im thinking of taking it after...My mindset is if I don't know find out!

No. They're very clear pics and it was just pink innards with no caca in sight. He did put me on fiber supplement because I have diverticulitis. ( Trip to the ER to learn that. ) Let me tell you something about THAT. Most painful thing I've ever experienced. ( the diverticulitis, not the colonscopy ) That is, till they gave me that IV of dialudid. Could have cared less if I even HAD a colon after that. It was at that time, I had the realization about junkies. *oh...I get it...*

Im frightened as to what you mean about pictures to prove it... Hoping it is before and after pic and not what came out pics!!! Gross huh?

No, actual pics of the inside of my colon. When you have a colonoscopy, they take pics of it and print out and give to you. The day before, you don't eat and you drink this stuff that 'cleans you out' and believe me, it works.  There was no poop in the pics.

That whole 'dual action cleanse' thing is a farce. You can go to the pharmacy and get that stuff they Rx before a colonoscopy for about $4 and it works as good as 'dual action cleanse' if you're worried that you might be full of the ****, so to speak.

ok so in these pictures you didn't notice any of this "build up"
that the guy on the infomercial talks about?

The "cleansing" issue, oft controversial, is only one part of the equation. This and similar products also suggests it may help with both regularity, digestive and bloating issues that some of us experience post treatment. That would be my reason for trying it or something similar.

I think NY Girl was talking about not using it during treatment. There may be reasons not to take it post treatment but you're not going to lose SVR over it, once achieved. Again, make sure to run it by your doctor to make sure it doesn't conflict with other meds or has some liver toxicity.

If one has normal bowel movements, why on earth would one need to do this cleansing thing. That only interrupts the function of the bowels. The same holds true for vaginal douching, all it does is interrupt the normal flora and fauna.
We don't clean out our stomachs, or urinary bladders.
I go with I-horn on this one.
