I use Ocean brand saline soln. I wrote you a note also-I get it at Walgreens or Publix. We live on it-havent had a sinus infection since I started using it
Yay Rocker! Glad to hear the sides are behaving themselves for ya. Life sure smells better with c.o. up the nose, doesn't it??
I thought about you today at the vet-there was an article about using organic virgin coconut oil for dogs and cats. It was suggested as a supplement because it is "microbial, kills disease causing bacteria, viruses, fungi and parasites and is an effective dewormer" The article went on to say that it is good for their dry skin. And they were very clear that you had to be careful to make sure it was processed properly so it would not be contaminated--sound familiar??
Virgin Coconut Oil.....not just for people anymore!! Who knew??? LOL!!
I am doing not too bad at all...minor sides at day 5..nose gets wee bit dry and and after a sneeze i had a couple of nosebleeds because of it,but the blood flow stopped right away...coconut oil up the nose is quite the relief...LOL...got a tiny sore on my lip...and i felt a litlle dizzy when i got up this morning...no biggie..thats the extent of my sides so far...oh ya...im having the vivid dreams again...best part of treatment...eye pain and headaches are gone...now i know the Peg is the culprit causing the eye pain...

Where do you get that solution for dry sinuses? I sure could use some.
Hi there. I was just checking in on you. I hope your doing okay on your Bocep. trial. I certainly have high hopes for you to reach SVR! Keep us posted and updated! Susan400
My eyes seem to have "cooled down"...so im guessing its the Peg that causes the eye pain,,thank you for your tips and help....all is goin ok so far ...
I had that also in the beginning. I used a moisturizing eye drop. I used the coconut oil and saline soln for my sinuses as they dried also out.
Hope you are doing well =)
Are you drinking enough water? Treatment does dehydrate you.
My eyes have been very sensitive to light since I started tx. It was suggested that I have my eyes checked a couple of months ago.
Yesterday we were riding home on the motorcycles and it seemed as if I had no sunglasses on. I had to shade my eyes. Next trip I will plan to go west so I will head away from the sun on my way home.
I also had the weird pink eye syndrome and mega pain in my eyes, especially when I moved them from side to side. It was pretty unpleasant but it only lasted a couple of weeks, right at the beginning. I also used a moisturizing eye drop and have continued to do so. Hope it goes away soon.
Epi :)
My first week on TX I had dry, pink eyes such as you are describing and I also had very painful eyeballs. They were painful to touch them and they hurt when I moved them up/down and side/side. I went to my eye doc and he didn't find anything amiss so he just suggested I use Refresh Tears or something like that...over the counter stuff. The Refresh Tears really works for me.
The Pegasys Medication Guide does list your symptom possible "Body Organ Problems" under "Skin Rash": (red or inflamed eyes, like "pink eye")... it does say that if you develop the rash with fever, blisters or sores in the eye, you should call your doctor right away. Hope it's not too bad.

My eyes are always a bit dry, a bit red, a bit itchy and there is a slight pressure/pain. They are a bit puffy and half open... I look perpetually high. It cracks my husband up big time, and me too.... And it's not that I'm not getting enough sleep or anything...
I don't know which one causes it.
