Early Bridging Fibrosis

by ulsor, Jul 08, 2003 12:00AM
Is there a progression order to reach this state? For example does one have to have Portal Necrosis first before it turns into Portal Fibrosis if untreated and then it turns into Early Bridging Fibrosis and then Bridging Fibrosis?

I also have bridging fibrosis, and my last biopsy has me at stage 3, grade 2.  I was told by one Doctor that this is the beginning of cirrhosis.  I have reached the point that I no longer think the medical society can agree on much of anything when it comes to HCV, but I came back from Viet Namn infected and no one can come up with an answer as to how I got it.  Although it wasn't discovered until 1990, I started feeling fatgued in 1987, so I have several years to work with this.
This is the second time I'm taking the cure and the things they have learned since I was diagnosed are fantistic, yet I find they still don't believe me when I tell them about something new.  Which means to me that they don't really know whats going on or how to cure it.  I don't know your age, but I just turned 64.  So if your in your 40's or less, just hang in there, as the progress is coming in leaps & bounds and the odds are that they will be able to make you right again.  Just never quite fighting.
