End Treatment Results

These are the results from end treatment labs taken on 11/15/2013. I'm only listing the ones that were off and Alt/Ast/Hcv. Since then I'm jogging and my suntan has returned so I presume I'm back to normal.
HCV RNA Not Detected.
Sodium Lo 135
Creatinine Lo .83
Ast normal 22
Alt normal 21
WBC Lo 2.0
RBC Lo 3.6
Hemoglobin Lo 11.9
Hemacrit Lo 35.8
MCV Hi 99.4
MCHC Lo 33.1
RDW Hi 15.4
Lymphocyte Hi 46
Absolute Neutrophil Lo .8

It took about 3-5 days for my suntan to return. I started back jogging the following day after last meds. I'm still under 3 miles non-stop because of typical muscle ache when beginning exercises. Next blood test for blood levels in 3 months. Next HVC check in 6 months.

Thanks everyone

What a crazy thing to go through. Like having a 6 month hangover after being clean for 3 1/2 years.

With any luck I'll be in the 2014 New York Marathon. That's my goal for 2014. I'll be 58 years old next month.

God Bless.

Welcome to a new and exciting world, Hep C free.   Agree with you, treatment is the way to go now, as extenuating circumstances in our futures is unknown.  As you stated, unfortunately many are denied due to such high costs, and none of us have a crystal ball as to what lies ahead.    Congrats...Kim

Thanks everyone. I was discharged from the HEP clinic at LA Harbor Medical Center today. The nurse said that the only way it will come back is if I get infected with some variety of it from the external world. Also there is no more testing for it for me. I'm on my own now. Bad news though for others at that facility because the new treatment is not allowed to be given by them because it is too expensive. And, the triple therapy treatment is considered antiquated and they are not allowed to treat patients with that either. She said that when two other new competing drugs, soon to be released, the price will drop and treatment of new patients will again commence.
Myself, with Obamacare being implemented, I would get treatment as soon as possible with whatever treatment you can.

HCV RNA Not Detected 6 months after triple therapy treatment. I go in for my end of treatment visit on Monday.
It Worked!
And all my lab results are back to normal. I did go through mild side effects for about 4 months after treatment but I was back jogging within a week from end of treatment. I've continued jogging up to 8 miles per day and all is well.
