End stage Cirrhosis

My mother has hep C, Cirrhosis and she doesnt take her medicine. She is suposed to take lactulose 3 times a day but she has only taken it oncw in the last 2 months. She shakes when she walks and falls down alot. Shes confused and slurrs her words so bad i cant understand nothing she is saying. She is mean and moody. She crys uncontollable then shell laugh at nothing for hours. She also drools real bad. i can tmake her take her medicine . she says she doesnt care if she dies. But i need to know what do i do. or what do i expect? is this end stage? can she die from this?

People do die from end stage liver disease.
What strikes me is that you don't seem to have a close relationship with the doctor-are you your mother's carer?
Do you see the doctor with her?
The doctor should be able to explain the options and prognosis,which in this case may be a life saving liver transplant or simply palliative care.
As she is being prescribed medication she must have a doctor-can you not make an appointment to talk through your concerns?
