Fast heartbeat on ribavirin

Hubby has had very fast heartrate - up to 117 bpm - pretty steady -even his resting rate is high.  He advised the drs nurse today, but she said doc would be consulted Monday when he was in the office.  What worries me is that the meds recommend letting dr know right away if you have fast heartrate - wondering why?  Anyone have same experience, or idea what this means?

No need to panic. it is fairly common on tx. i think what they mean by fast heart rate is like 150+ bpm. Of course if there is any chest pains with it then seek medical attention ASAP.

i have same problem since week 9. now im on week 20. i m taking inderal since then. pre tx my heart beat was 58-65. Now  is 75-100. it is very common. but tell your doc. he will examin and sugess you better. good luck
