Feeling ill With increased VL?

by Mollyrae, Sep 28, 2008 11:19AM
Hi, I am from the Pain Forum but I need a Question Hopefully answered. As my Viral Load increases I've noticed that I feel more "run down", achy, increased Headaches and right side Abdominal pain (right side abdominal pain hurts especially if I lie on that side). I have asked my Doctor about this and the reply is never helpful. Lately, when waking in the morning, I feel incredibly sore all over like I participated in the Tough Man Contest the day before.

Because the Doctors have not been helpful and they Do Not have the Virus, I am wondering...From fellow sufferers...If anyone has experienced this? I have Tx'd twice and I am a non-responder. When I managed to get my VL below 50,000 I felt like I was on top of the world. My VL is now at 2,000,000 and climbing.....Any thoughts?

All opinions are welcome.

Sincerely, Mollyrae

Yes, I have also noticed this as has my rheumatologist.
The higher my vl was the worse I felt.  My pain was better on
tx than pre-tx as was my brain fog.  The RA, Fibro and Sjogrens did not flare-up as much on tx.  I believe the immune system is attacking not just the virus but all else when our number goes up, hence the more frequent flares---especially if you already have autoimmune problems which are most likely caused by the virus.

Hope you feel better

Thank you so much for your response. I will check the site out. I have Chronic Hep C but have not heard of the Autoimmune problems. My Doctors are trying to figure me out. I have had a RH Doctor tell me that it is possible that my immune system is attacking itself. I will have to look up Autoimmune Hep......

Doesn't mean you have autoimmune hep.
Just autoimmune problems from the hep. or could be in the family.
Good luck
