Feeling lethargic - 1 wk labs

Today I am feeling lethargic and do not feel like I can do much (I will be doing shot # 3 later).
I went to the doctor this morning to have blood drawn for my 2 wk blood tests.
I started tx on 1/8.  Below are my 1 wk (1/15) lab results.  My doctor does not discuss much with me, just says everything is ok.  But I am feeling so tired.
MY CBC lab results are within range except for the bottom three listed below.
If anyone has any comments on my labs,  please let me know.
Thanks.  GingerB

White Blood Count                 4.6 x 10E 3/ul
Red Blood Cell                         4.26 x 10E6/ul
Hemoglobin                             14.0 g/dl
Hematocrit                           40%
Platelets                               328 x 10E/ul
Neutrophils                            37%  (low)      range is 40-74
Lymphs                                50% (high)     range is 14-46
Neutrophils (absolute)            1.7 x 10E3/ul  (low)     range is 1.8-7.8

You can feel lethargic on these drugs even with good labs, and your labs are good. Curious, what was your pre-treatment hemoglobin? Dropping 1-2 points in a week could account for part of that lethargy, although it could simply be the drugs themselves. It's good that you are having weekly CBCs. Make sure you ask for a sensitive viral load test on week 4 -- or even earlier if your doctor will comply.  BTW do you think I can borrow some of those platelets, you got plenty to spare :)

Thanks Jim
My 11/30/07 (pre-tx) hemoglobin was 14.5    Therefore,  .5 difference.
And thanks to you -  today I did ask my doctor to include a VL test since he was drawing blood.  Doc said, "no - it does not make a difference".  I said , "but, it makes a difference to me".  And doc finally said ok . The only hitch may be, that after he agreed, he took the blood, and then afterwards said that he hoped he drew enough blood - can you believe it !? - well, I am hoping that he did.  Next vl test will be 4th week on 2/5 and I will ask for the sensitive vl test.
Sending you happy platelets.....GingerB.

Thanks kcrandy.  Yesterday was not one of my better days.  I realized that I had a fever.  I went to bed early, and had the sweats.  But I think I am feeling better today!  Take care...GingerB.

Nice move on the pcr request, it's a good point in which to have one to see the early two-weeks response.  I hope he handled the pcr vial correctly, I think it needs to be frozen.  Did he ever take a pcr sample in the office before, or did he refer you to a lab (like Quest) for pcr in the past?

My doctor likes to draw the patients'  blood in the office (i think he wants the office visit and co-pay).  I asked to have my labs done at LabCorp, but he hasn't agreed to that yet.  My doctor is laid back, and I feel that he does not think about the patients' needs in advance; he seems to realize things afterwards.   I am going to ask for my next labs at LabCorp - maybe he'll get tired of my asking and will agree:)  GingerB
