Fibroscan F3 and fibrotest F0

My fibroscan showed F3 with score of 9.9. My fibrotest showed F0 A3. The doctor who did fibroscan recommended biopsy, and said fibroscan is more accurate.

My treating doctor says no need for biopsy, better to start treatment now.

Can I found out whether I am F3 or F0 without biopsy?

Hi
Do I understand you right: You were stage 3, treated and have  been cured a couple of years and you have now still developed cirrhosis?

Agree. According to my new doc I've passed over inito cirrhosis land...I was close when I treated but didn't want to end up here. Treat now.

I agree, start before you cross that line into cirrhosis. Best to you.

The fibrotest is a blood test that is not a very accurate test - that's why insurance will pay for fibroscans, which have demonstrated reproducibility and not fibrotest or fibrospect blood tests, which have shown much less correlation with biopsies.
