Finally approved

I wanted to let everyone know my insurance company approved the 3 meds (Incivek, peg and riba).  They have approved the incivek for the first 4 weeks.  At that time if my blood results are where they need to be, they will approve the next 4 weeks and so on.  If I do not respond the peg and riba has been approved for the course of the tx.  Positive thoughts here, praying to be undetected so I can keep using the new meds.  I am very excited to say the least.  My family and I have had a vacation planned for next week.  We have decided to still take the vacation and have an awesome time.  I plan to enjoy each and every minute with them!!!  My doc was hoping to have my tx start in August, so it looks as though we might be right on track.  I will come back from vacation and be rested up and ready to kick the DRAGON'S butt!!!!

That's great!  And taking your vacation and enjoying time with your family is a great way to prepare.  Have fun but I agree with elpasolady about coming back from vacation "rested up".  Besides, you'll do plenty of laying around once treatment starts - go have fun and wear yourself out.

sounds like a great vacation and start date plan!  and good news about your insurance.  Who's numbers decides whether the insurance sends your more incivek? That is interesting the way they give it out, it does make sense on their end..

Good news... GREAT attitude!!  Keep it up.

I received my meds today through Fed Ex but I  am postponing my start date until we get back from our family visit as well.   Our 2nd grandaughter was born last Sunday.  Only thing is that we will not leave until two weeks from today.  My dr. suggested I wait, and I agreed.  Honestly, I am in no hurry to feel bad from tx, but, like you, am ready to kill this beast!
Have fun, but I don't know many people that come back from vacation 'rested up' LOL
