Finishing treatment

I am sure this is a question that has been asked a million times but how long after you stop treatment does the medication leave your system? Also why do Dr. wait until 3 months after you stop to do the blood work? If you are going to relaspe would'nt that happen pretty quickly?

hiya the med takes 1yr to leave youre body as the docs advise not to get pregnat untill after that year as the med is still in your body x

Does drinking (small amounts only) effect the meds once you have stopped tx? If you have cleared the virus then you have cleared right? Of course I understand the ramifications and all it is just a question swiming around in my head.

My hepnurse told me it's ok to drink in moderation post tx. She said not everyday, and no more than 1-3 drinks max. I haven't looked at any studies or asked anyone else.
