I remember my first shot...I woke up in the morning and felt fine! For a month previous to starting tx I was up all night worrying about what would happen to me.
I did get hit hard wth sx but not until around week 5 or 6.......

You might have a good chance and breeze thru sx without too many sx.
Whatever happens just take one hour at a time, keep yourself VERY hydrated and know it will be over!

Good luck in the road ahead.

I certainly remember that first shot. Scared to death but you know I got through the shot and all the pills too. Good luck with your tx. I wish you well. This site will help you. I don't know what I would of done without all the support here. After all only the people going through this truly can be sympathetic to our daily problems while taking these meds.

Hi there, hope today is going well for you.  My husband just finished Day One and also had a good day.  Maybe you two will both get lucky -- keeping my fingers crossed.

I always took two tylenol with my shots - I never had any of the real flu type symptoms until about week 30 or so and then only briefly.  I credit the tylenols with that.

I worked throughout treatment because getting out did indeed really help.  It took my mind off what I was doing and distracted me. Plus getting up and showered and made up and stuff helped to make me feel better like mind over matter.

I tx'd for 72 weeks and have been cured over 2 1/2 years. All I can say is treatment is rough but it's doable you just have to push yourself to keep going and remember one day it will end.  Better to suffer this now rather than end stage liver disease right?

that drinking lots of fluids stuff helps. 1/2 oz per lb. of body weight. and something that works for me "the bed is for sleeping only" and try to get out at least once a day go to the mall/out for lunch, wal mart. i felt so tired that i only wanted to go from the couch to the bed. after i started trying to get out once a day i felt lots better. ask your MD about a couple of ibuprofen when you take your inj. seems to help with the body aches for me. and dont forget all this is temporary,it will end.

Congratulations on starting tx!  It felt good to me to finally be able to DO something about the dragon, instead of just worrying that I had it!  Hope all goes smoothly for you.  Keep us posted.  And welcome to the forum!!!
