First Shot

Hi, all!  Well, took my first shot and have taken co-peg for 4 days with absolutely no sx.  Thanks to everyone here, I was prepared for just about anything and at this point, I still am.  I realize that sx might come within the next few weeks.  I just feel really lucky.  The anticipation was probably the worst part.  Thanks for all of the wonderful info on this site.  I am here for the long haul...48 more weeks.    Talk to yall soon

I had to laugh this morning as I thought of your post. I was making coffee and thinking of something I wanted to do later today and automatically thought oh, I should write that down then thought nah..I'll remember and it made me laugh to think I could actually count on remembering. Sooo it will not last forever. LL

That is always good news to hear. What a wonderful welcome surprise for you. Expect the worst but pray for the best certainly seems true in your case. Good luck with the rest of tx.

Great news Texasgirl. I survived mine also... but had a few sides.  But if they are no worse than what I had, I know I can do this.  I have more of a reaction from the riba... My wife is trying to pump as much water down my throat as she can.  Hope it is smooth sailing for you all the way! and I hope we all have an easy week.

We are in Texas also, this was a great chili weekend but my wife thought that might be a little extreame seeing as how it was the start of tx.

I also feel better than I did before starting tx.  My insomnia is gone, I am eating healthier, and my attitude seems to be much better.  Now, if I could just remember where I put things...

Texasgirl ~ WOOHOO!!!  Off to a great start!  I was pretty sick the first 24 hours, but nothing since.  Plenty of positive energy is headed your way for a continued smooth journey.

That's great! I didn't have sx the first few month so I know it's possible. Funny thing is I felt better than before starting. My doc says that is not that uncommon since once you start doing something to fight this disease it can make people feel much better. I truly wish you the best. LL

Congrats!  I didn't notice much for the first few months & my advice would be to make the most of the time you feel good!  I look back now and realize that I spent too much time waiting to feel badly & not enough having fun. I try to remember this now on the days that I feel normal!

Thanks, as you well know, it is hard to stay positive especially not knowing what to expect.  Most of my support comes from you and the people on this site simply because everyone here has had the experiences and doesn't judge you for this horrible monster we all have.  I am here to beat this thing and if it doesn't work the first time, I will try and try again.  I want this alien out of my body!!
