First day on treatment

Hi everyone, this is an update for all .Had my first shot at 2:30 today along with first dose of RIBA and sovaldi .four hours into it and feel a little mooshy .slight headache. Sore muscles. But if this is as bad as it gets No problem .Drank loads of water this am and will keep at it .Thanks to all the great advice I received here! I know it is the first day but relieved it was not the worst case scenario .
On a lighter note almost died laughing when doc told me my pregnancy test was neg. 52 post menopause and had a procedure that makes it impossible ! Guess better safe than sorry !

Good luck to you.  Like Sue4hula said, I agree, the Riba for me causes me more 'daily' issues than the once a week shot.  But, you can make it through. I am thankful for the shorter treatments we have now. Can't hardly believe that I did old SOC for 52 wks once.  Susan400

Congrats on the negative pregnancy test!  Haha!

Welcome to the dragon slaying world!  I just finished the treatment you are on and hope I will make SVR.

Sounds like you're doing the right stuff!  Water is your best friend!  I never had too much trouble with the shots.  Just pace yourself and rest a few days after.  Stay out of the sun.  The Ribavirin seemed to bother me more.  RIBA irritation, irritated skin... But it was all doable!

Best of health to you.  Be well!

You said shot...so that must mean you are on INF/sovaldi/Riba.  Call the hotline for sovaldi...talk to nurse...timing of when you take what is important.  When I went to class they went over this thoroughly.  I am just doing sovaldi/riba.

Years ago when I did interferon I'd have a terrible reaction within 6 hours that would last until the next day.  Everyone is different though.

It is funny that they say that about being preggers.   The ask me all the time (I am 66) and I say I hope so....they look at me weird...then I say it would be a miracle and practically an immaculate conception.  .... I always when the ask that....
