eww, well now that you put it that way!!!!!!
actually I started using these little minipicks, they have floss on one end and a pick on the other...you can keep your mouth completely closed while using them so nothing flys out of your mouth.
actually if you do brush and floss every day it's really rare to bleed. It's only when the gums are tender from too much bacteria that they bleed and that is rectified with regular care.

Interesting flossing results. When I floss I have an occasional piece of food hit the mirror but never blood. I'm really gonna pay attention next time, but I intentionally clean off the mirror, and I've just never noticed blood. Come to think of it, it's very unsanitary however I don't see how someone else would get infected from it. lol Sure it's possible, anything is possible with the transmission of this dreaded HCV. later
my teeth dont bleed while flossing, but they did in the past...now i clean my teeth 4 times a year at the dentist...i wear rubber rain boots if i see someone flossing in the living room.
Blood specks from flossing?? Maybe you're flossing too hard.
Do it further away from the mirror or use bleach on your socks.

Walking on the floor picks up the blood spots to your socks.
Do it watching tv germs hit the floor.
Never knew electric flossers existed...ill be getting me one...learn something new everyday
I use an electric flosser.... has small plastic tips... very little blood , if at all.. and you are not pulling it out and flinging blood drops everywhere.

Rocker,
Yuk, I have this mental vision of someone licking mirrors in the washroom!! Beside, cleaning isn't going to kill the virus - you have to disinfect with bleach.
