Flu shot and meds???

Hellow everyone,

I start me med's  on Friday.  Last week I had a flu shot on Monday and also the Hep A and B  vacination shots  on last wadnesday.  By last Friday I had a serious sinus infection.  I was wondering if it would be  agood idea to go back to the doctor and get a sinus cocktail shot to pump  up my system before I start the shots for the Hep c?

Also of the things I have been reading say that The first couple of shots make yopu feel sick.

I don't know about sinus cocktails either I usually just take some OTC medications - don't need anything that drastic but considering you DO take antibiotics for bacterial infections but NOT for virus' (Unlike what most people think) if you think you have an infection you'll need to get one.

You shouldn't really be getting the flu or virus' on treatment because you are on antivirals right now.  There should be enough  in you to keep that stuff at bay at least for the most part.  But bacteria is a different thing.

Still you can't overdue antibiotics or you do seem to build up an immunity to them - then when you really get sick they don't work.

We are SUPPOSED to have all those vaccinations - flu, hepb and hepa.  All of us have. You should have a flu shot every year from now on, now that you have a chronic disease.

I don't know about the sinus cocktail but you should see your dr. before tx just in case.  Regarding feeling sick, everyone is different. Some folks never miss a beat.  I was horribly sick for 4 to 5 months.  But, my husband has held up fairly well, all his labs are normal except for a small drop in his hemoglobin.

Wishing you well. Stacie
