Free hepatitus(hepatitis) c treatment?

I have just gotten some blood test results back and found out that my liver enzyme count was very high and my hepatitus (hepatitis) c pannel came back positive. I do not have health insurance and do not even know where to begin to try and get help. Any suggestions please??

The drug companies offer help for those in need. Have you had a PCR done yet and a liver biopsy? Those would be your next steps. If your liver damage is not too bad, provided you infact do have HCV, you may not have to treat immediately.

You also need your genotype to determine treatment type, if you are geno type 1 you will likely do triple therapy, if in fact you HCV. Here is the site to incivek for help.

Just because your antibody test was positve doesn't mean you actually have HCV, the elevated liver enzymes are suspect though, but as I said before you need to have further testing. Good luck.
