Friday Fight Song 05-18-06 - Imagine

Imagine
John Lennon

Imagine there's no Hep C
It's easy if you try
No tx waits below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all those people
Living for today...

Imagine there's no Hep C
It isn't hard to do
Getting back to normal
Doing what others do
Imagine all the people
Living virus free...

You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
Someday they

yes, hurricane season starts in less then 2 weks and the ins co. are going nuts with rates.  I plan to sell and move back to south FL in Nov. but I'm worried about getting ins.

Hope this season is better, then maybe the rates will come down.

It may be something as simple as a bladder infection. I don't know. My doctor is hesitant on the antibiotics because it seems to cancel out the affects of the Pegasys during dosage.

Sorry to hear you have been hammered by this medication lately. Glad to know that you found something that would knock that infection out though. This whole chemical and balancing them is a miracle to me. I don't have a clue how they manage.

I hope you stay well through the remainder of your treatment. Dale

Hey Goof:
I used you as my argument several weeks ago when he wanted to pull me off of treatment. He is over cautious and I have to talk him through it and at times stretch the truth a bit to satisfy him. How are you doing. 22 more to go here. Dale

Hey Beamer:

Hangin in there and waiting on time. I hope you are doing well. Last time we talked seems like the stuff was working on your energy level and had you down. I seem to be picking up a little. Seems like everytime I think it is getting better it goes south on me again. Such is life. Your bud, Dale

I had know choice because of the thalassemia anemia, no dr in FL would treat me because of it.  In NY they did but I had to stay there so they could watch my HGB.  Will be home in FL for good on 6/12 and I can't wait.

I think I mentioned that many docs don't worry till platelets get down around 30. Mine cycled between 40 and 70 -- a 4-week downslide followed by a 4-week up slide -- throughout tx. Alll in all, they were under 50 much of the time. Watching the downslide was always worrisome. Good luck buddy.

Hey haven't got the energy to go postal. This fever thing seems to have set me back on my heals. Doctor says there has to be an infection but he doesn't know where. This computer has been sitting silent for a couple of weeks. I hope all of you are doing well. Dyce sorry to hear about the rescue drugs. They suck just like the all of them do. I'll go Tuesday next for labs to check ANC and platelets. Cross your fingers for the platelets its my biggest concern at this point.Dull Dale

So glad your doing ok.  I have been back in FL since Tues. and have not needed the tranfusion as my HGB is finally holding at 7.3 for the past 3 weeks.  I have 4 shots left so I should be ok.  Thanks for asking.  I have had a high fever for the past few weeks, so my friend your not alone.

Hey on the fever. Seems our systems are running on the same page here Mr. Beagle. My fever has been running around 100 in the mornings and runs there all day long and at night around seven it crawls up to 101 or 102. Very seldom does it cross 102. Sunday and Monday of this week I had severe sweats and hot flashes and for the first time in 3 weeks or so the fever broke. This has been my weirdest time yet. Hey that is such great news you will get those four shots in without a trans. That makes for happiness and a smile. I'm glad you are back in Florida too. It's hard to be somewhere and not be able to. I have 22 shots left so a little patience on this end ha!

Next friday I go to see "consultation Dr.".  He has been involved in 17 clinical trials for ribavarin, publishes and is associated with the medical school.  I will feel better with up to date stats...

my fevers are running the same as your and by late afternoon it starts climbing to 102.  Me to, I didn't have this is the beginning.  Also the sweats are the worse, durning the night I sometimes change my T-shirt 2 or 3X.  I complained to my wife about the hot flashes, she looked at me and said now you know what I went through.  Ha! I had to laugh,it's almost like she voodoo it on me.  Pay backs are a b**ch.

You will get the b**ch this time around my friend, don't you worry.  It sounds good that you are happy with the new team on your case.  Sometimes that's what it take, a change.  You really weren't happy with the dr you used before.  Can't wait to hear your new drs game plan.

I was talking to a drug rep in the doc's office today. She said a lot of chemo patients use effexor for hot flashes from tx.  Interesting that an AD does this too. (She was giving samples to the Doc's in the oncology office.)

Fish , man I'm glad your getting to another doc! A 2 log drop at 24 weeks , the guy don't know what he is doin . Thanks for the hope on undetectable for me , they did order more meds , so tx won't be interrupted if this is workin .

Dale , whats goin on guy, haven't heard from ya . I figured the sx's were gettin to ya . It's hard to look at this monitor at times on this medicine . Darn riba is kickin me butt, The doc visit yesterday was productive , got the pcr draw done and I'll probably have to go on procrit and neupogen as we discussed the blood labs . Keep postin bud , I miss your humor !

Dale, we been wondering... thought maybe you had gone postal, tornado, torrential floods..... glad your back and hope you can get the sx under control.

Dyce, its a done deal man, your there!!  Hopefully new Doc will be a little more up to date.  I would rather make an active decision, even if its the wrong one than a passive lets just wait and see...

Ha dude, it's a long way to ny from florida. I don't see why ya have to travel that far to see your doc , could,t you guys consult via e-mail or the phone. The 20 week pcr is probably a good idea, especially with some the the 2's relapsing. Sounds like you got a good doc. Goodluck.

Fishy, sounds like your gettin your fich in a row there . I knew you were a softy at times , but don't be afraid to get that finger in thier face if it's warranted ! Your a good person and deserve the best .Your gonna beat this, your too srong willed not to!

Cando - How is the icecream man doin today . Since I'm sleepin, they gave back me sane papers but warned, dyce strike 3 yur out . So I'm usin ya for a referance, to solidify things, bein your more sane than me . I'll tell em your my personal conselor and I do nothin without a session with you 1st! Ha , boss man gave me back me scaffold. Had me usin stilts but was afraid I' fall over and knock a hole in 1 of the room walls . So it's lookin good for thr video !

Good to see you back. I'm in Ocala until Monday and haven't checked my email lately.
Next to the anemia, the fevers were my worst sx so I fully understand what you are going through.
