Full Recovery from Cryoglobulinemia after Cure?

Six months after treatment and still virus Undecatable my liver specialist has told me I'm cured of Hep C. Yeah! But my symptoms of peripheral neuropathy have remained. Numbness and burning sensations in my hands and feet. And actually, they're worse than when I was on medication, but no worse than before I started. So my question is has anyone in a similar situation recovered from these symptoms and how long was it before the peripheral neuropathy subsided? From the pictures I've seen on Wikipedia, my Cryoglobulinemia wasn't very severe, but I also have a tiny bit of purpura on my legs. I never really noticed this latter symptom until pointed out by my neurologist yesterday. He's prescribed gabapentin, but gave me no info on whether my peripheral neuropathy would go away.
Thanks for your attention.

It did work sooner than that for my friend.   I think full effect would be 4 weeks.

Good Luck

Thanks for your response. I'm told the drug gabapentin won't be effective for at least 4weeks, so I have to be patient. I just hope I don't have to take it for life.

Congratulations!!  I hope this issue gets better.   I can tell you the medication prescribed is helpful for the symptoms.   Just make sure you take as directed.
I'm no doctor but know of someone who takes that medication and it really helps.
