GI APPROVED ME FOR SURGERY

GOOD MORNING TO ALL!  MY LAST POST I WAS WORRIED ABOUT NOT BEING ABLE TO HAVE MY C-5/C-6 SPINAL FUSION TO RELEIVE PAIN IN NECK/LEFT ARM.  I DID SEE MY DR. ON 10/5 AND HE SAID IF I WAS HELL BENT ON HAVING THIS SURGERY THEN I COULD!  TOTALLY DIFFERENT ATTITUDE THEN WHEN HIS ASST. CALLED ME AND SAID DR. L----- SAID; NO SURGERY!  ALSO, YOU MAY RECALL I WAS READY TO QUIT TX. LAST WEEK DUE TO FEELING SO BAD!  WE ALL THOUGHT I WAS ANEMIA, IT TURNS OUT ALL BLOOD WORK IS OKAY, PLATLET COUT IS 86 BUT OTHER THAN THAT EVERYTHING LOOKS GOOD.  THE GOOD NEWS IS THAT I'M TAKING SHOT #8/48 TONIGHT AND MY DR. SAID I AM A RESPONER, UNDETECTABLE AT WK. 4, YEA!  HE SAID THAT WAS GREAT THAT MOST PEOPLE DO NOT RESPOND UNTIL WK. 12 OR AFTER.  THAT WAS GOOD NEWS THAT I NEEDED TO KEEP STRUGGLING ON FORWARD.  I REALIZED ON TUES. OF THIS WEEK THAT I WASN'T DRINKING ANYTHING.  SO I STARTED SLAMMING THE WATER AND SERIOUSLY WITHIN 24 HRS. I FELT LIKE A DIFFERENT PERSON.  WATER MUST MAKE A MAJOR DIFFERENCE, IT SURE DOES IN ME.  ANYWAY HERE IS MY HEPTIMAX TEST:
<5 IU/ML, <0.70 LOGIU/ML THIS WAS 9/12/05, TX. STARTED 8/19/05!  THAT WOULD ACTUALLY BE 3 WKS. INTO TX.  I THINK I AM FIGHTING THE DEMON SUCESSFULLY!!!!!!!!! MARSHA

What a difference a week can make.  Glad to hear the good PCR news.  Hopefully the continuing treatment and SX will be a bit more manageable for you.  With the surgery you have an additional challenge to face with recovery and support needs.  The PCR and positive expectations will help you through.  Good luck Marsha.  The'll be taking a close look at your pre-op blood work so make sure that you and your doc do what you need to get the levels up that you can.

I am really happy for you!!!  Congrats!

You are two weeks ahead of me (I started 9/2).  I am glad to hear that you will have your surgery and that your energy level has picked up as well.  I know that I feel more tired and lethargic if I don't drink enough during the day.  So keep chugging water my friend!

Also great news on your week 4 results!!! That is so inspiring!

Hey! Great news all around, huh? I'm so happy to hear you are coping with treatment with such a little "fix" and not more needles! Yikes!

Best to you on the surgery. I pray it is one of those "I haven't felt this good three hundred years" kinda' things!

WOWOWow.  Great news all around!  I am so happy for you.

It's amazing what a difference the water does make isn't it?  I certainly can't understand WHY but I can now physically tell when I've not had enough.

I hate drinking so much water but find it totally something that has to be done - so I do it!  I'm glad glad glad you found out why you were feeling so ill and are now on top of it.

good luck with the surgery, I hope it relieves your pains!
Just be careful when docs say "everything looks good" when referring to cbc, mine said the same thing while I was obviously becoming anemic. Look at the results your self to confirm his statement. Glad that H20 is helping you at the present.
