Is losing your hair one of the side effects? Also..I remember from a previous post that your office is in Ft. Worth or somewhere in the Dallas area. I was wondering if you know any good Dr's in the Okla City area?

Yes, losing hair is a side effect.

Is this an expected side effect, or a potential one?

I think just about everyone experiences some hair loss, but some not so bad as others.  I am on week 44 and lost quite a bit about 15-24 weeks, but not much more since then.  Fortunately, while my hair is fine, it was fairly thick to start.  If you have thin, fine hair to begin with, the loss is more noticable.

Most have at least some hair loss.  It WILL grow back!

It usually grows back, not not always. You have to be prepared to lose it for ever, unfortunately!

There is some great dr's in OKC. There is a Dr. Arora in Norman that I went to till he had to take me off of tx and transferred me to the Integris Baptist Transplant Center. There are some good ones at University, but I don't know their names. I have a neice that works in the lab there that could find out for me. I am right close to OKC. (abt 20 mins.)
Take care and I hope you find one you can use

Yes hair loss can be a side of treatment..but it does usually grow back!

I am sorry I have no contacts in OK.

I lost my hair also (alot of it) while on treatment but it wasn't like clumps of it, more like all over eaqually. It is now back and really much healthier! Keep the faith!
