Gastric Varices

I have Hepatitis C. I have Cirrhosis, I guess in the advanced stages, with gastric varices. I've already had one stomach bleed from them. Shouldn't they put me on beta-blockers or something?

I was on propanolol a beta blocker to prevent varices. Take a look at the other post I sent you.

Yes you should be considered for a beta blocker to lower portal pressure which catalyzes variceal rupture. I just wanted to say hi and this a great forum for people with HepC. I also just wanted you to know that if your post does not get an answer it means there is no one on here at the moment that knows the answer. Don't worry, plenty of people will read your questions. I don't happen to know the answer myself about gastric varices. Hopefully someone will.
