Geno 2B ,EOT 24 long weeks what now?.

by JCB1606, May 04, 2009 07:26PM
Well I never thought I'd get the chance to write this !!  Rapid responder -  UDT after 4 & 12 weeks. VL tomorrow, Does a clear VL @ EOT mean I'll have a better chance of clearing the virus for the 6 month  VL test? This is as nerve racking as awaiting to give my first injection on 11-21-08. The rollercoaster is still rolling. Thanks to all. Nam vet.

I'm not sure about the EOT test being a good predictor of SVR, I know the 4 week post EOT test is a good indicator, especially in rapid responders.  Congratulations on making it througn 24 weeks of hell.  I'll keep my fingers crossed for your SVR.  Keep the faith.

Good to see you post again and to see you made it and was a RVR your odds are very good for SVR.

And eot pcr is important mainly to rule out a break-thur during tx. As jd says though a 4 week eot tx  test for a geno 2 who was a RVR is a good indicator. I know its easy to say but try not to worry it looks great for you.... Keep in touch and again thanks for your service.

Congratulations on making it, you're a short-timer now!  Can't answer your question, but just wanted to wish you good luck.  As my husband would say, "ooorah! sempre fi."
Best wishes,

Congratulations. I'd say genotype trumps everything when predicting SVR and you have the 'lucky' one. So you sure do have aces in your hand.

Thanks for your service and keep us posted about your EOT PCR. I just got mine back on Friday.
