Getting lucky with geno1??

Getting lucky with geno1??

Has anyone on here ever gone through tx, the 180 mcg of Peg and the 1200 of Riba became UND and had to quit tx early for any reason?  Or has anyone ever gotten a discount from the 48 wk time period and gotten lucky with SVR or a better biopsy next time around?  Just thought of another question, take which one you want.  Has anyone ever been prescribed according to weight I know the Peg comes in 135 mcg and I'm small, at 160 lbs. I don't feel I need as much as someone who weighs 260lbs.?  Please I know the reality of 72wk tx, and I know it's extremely difficult to put a face on HepC with so many variables, however can't blame anyone for trying.  God Bless

Mremeet was in the Vertex VX950/telaprevir trial (triple combo of  VX950 & SOC) and did 41 wks I believe.  He is still UND post 6 months.  I know of geno 1's who have had to quit early because of sx but did not mention SVR having happened.  Geno 2's tx for 24 wks and I believe I've read several have stopped 2-3 wks early and remained UND.  Jmjm says his liver is now at Stage 2 ( I hope that's right) as opposed to 3 when he initially started tx.  It's true that regardless of SVR the liver does receive benefits from tx.  Inflammation and fibrosis have been shown to be reduced.  I am only 115lb and taking 180 Peg and 1000 riba.  The only thing my doc mentioned reducing is the riba if I start to become anemic.  Recommend 48 wk minimum on current SOC.  Reducing time and dosage would effect chances of SVR in my opinion.
