I've used it as a mouth wash intermittantly for many years, but once I gargled with too strong a solution and have been scared to touch it again (I went dizzy, felt sick, breathless) and after a couple of weeks got what I though was thrush of the mouth. Turned out to be a bacterial infection - I'd burn the top of my tongue :-(.
I also hired an ozone generator earlier this year which also didn't have a great outcome, although my naturopath is giving Hep C patients ozone therapy with, he says, some good degree of success. (The lessee of the machine was too sick to start treatment some 6-7 years ago and was on the transplant list. He has stabilised his bloods - (although still positive for the virus), and is leading a pretty normal life. However, it is a very time-consuming, difficult and expensive treatment (not to be done if not an expert :-).
I also think it's critical to define success; " i have read on many forums of people using this as a treatment for hep-c and with very good out comes.. ".
The use of alternative therepy to resolve HCV rmains a contentious topic in here. Be sure to discuss anything like this with your treating MD.

I think this article from the FDA about covers it:
