Thank you zaza. you have solved my problem. Today i will give blood for TSH only.
What the hell does your post have to go with Valentines Day? Since we are whining, I bought a dry Pecan Praline King’s Cake for Mardi Gras
My endocrinologist said that when the readings go up during tx, they always come down at the end. When they go down during tx, they stay there and one needs to take thyroid hormone.
I was recommended by the doctor on the thyroid forum to check for thyroid antibodies, but my hepatologist did not consider that necessary. There was nothing I could do about it. I just could not get that antibody test without doctor's approval. At EOT they checked my TSH and T4, free, and it was already much better. 6 weeks post tx my thyroid readings were back to normal.
I suggest you just check your TSH for now. If the high TSH readings persist post tx, then you can worry about getting the antibody test.
