HCV

Hello,
My mom used scissors to cut a label on my new jeans. Unfortunately she has taken the wrong one...the one that my sis uses for cutting her nails. My sister is HCV positive and often has blood when cutting her nails. I had an open wound on my hand when i was wearing the jeans (it was about 40 hours after my mum used the scissors). I don't remember any visible blood on the jeans but i am sure i had touched the same place with my wound. I know that HCV can be transmitted up to 4 days outside of body but do you think in my situation i should worry about this. Maybe this story will be funny to you but I need other people's opinion to calm down. My parents are very responsible people and told me this is not a thing to be worried about. What do you think?

Your situation doesn't seem to be one for worry, although, if ever there is a concern of being exposed HCV, testing is always the way to put the mind at ease.
