Yes he has HCV that is why I posted this. He had a small cut he sustained the day before on the side of his thumb It was clean and blood free. He fingered me in the heat of passion because it was such a small cut he forgot it was there but it was a fresh cut. When he realized what he was doing he stopped and looked at the wound and there was no bleeding just the wound (no blood).
There are preacautions that you should take when living with someone who has HCV.
Do not share toothbrushes or allow him to bite you. Small amounts of blood can escape into the saliva and it is theoritcally possible to contract it from that, particularly if his viral load is very high and there is some kind of gum disease or other dental issue present.
Do not share razors or clippers of any kind. Nicking yourself after he's done the same can expose you.
Make sure that he keeps any wounds covered for your protection.
And if you really want to be safe, use a condom during all sexual acitivities.
Because your anus is lined with a thin mucous membrane that can easily have minute tears that you may not even be aware of, than yes....there is a slight risk.
From the vast amount of information you gave, though, it looks like you and your bf don't have HCV. So, just be aware that anal sex does pose a higher risk of transmission than non-anal sex and get yourself tested when you feel you have been placed at risk.
"Please just address the probability of me contracting the virus based on the open wound and blood to blood transmission theory."
You're asking this community to specifically address the probability factor of contracting hepc. You provide a detailed explanation of your sexual encounter and request we only address your probability factor but you don't provide the MOST important information as carol411 stated: Does your boyfriend have hepc?
Let me ask you a question? Does your boyfriend wear a condom when you have anal sex? If he has hepc, he should.
Trinity
Does your boyfriend have hep c? If you are certain you had no tear then you don't have to worry about hep c even if he has the virus. There was no blood to blood contact.
