Do you have eyeshields available to you at your work? You should consider the use of PPE personal protective equipment.

I personally am not aware of eye splash being a risk as hep infected blood must enter the blood stream of a uninfected person which to me seems unlikely by simply splashing the eye.

But no harm in testing to be sure this event or at any other time in the past did not cause you to become infected. Then if you should learn you are infected simple get treated and cured. But either way nothing to worry about.

It is not a common way to transmit HCV but is not unheard of in healthcare providers according to pub med articles.
Ok thanks good to know

You should wait and get tested. A splash in the eye has the potential to transmit hep C. You can have an antibody test 12 weeks post exposure or an HCV/RNA (viral load) test done 3 weeks post exposure.
