HCV relapse during treatment

HCV relapse during treatment

After treatment with peg.interferon and ribavirin, I had undectable viral load at 12 weeks and after 24 weeks I had dectable viral load . Is the treatment be continued?

please post more information; genotype, vl, biopsy results etc. good luck as i know this is not what u had hoped but others here have had this situation as i recall. hang in there, babs

I am very sorry to hear the virus has come back.
Having gone from undetectable to detectable during treatment is called "Breakthrough".
I person who is undetectable through the end of treatment and then has the virus come back is said the have relapsed.

It is important to know which response you had to treatment so you will know your chances for SVR during re-treatment.
Yes, you should stop treatment as you have no chance of SVR.
