I am going thourht infertility treamtment and did all test. The HCV test came back ( shock..,...end of life...)
Hep C antibody (Architecht) positive (weak)
Hep C antigen (Architecht) negative
Hep C ( antigen+antibody) Monolisa weak positive
What is this all means? And what to expect from PCR??
Oh, nobody answers me. Is this mean no hope for me???????
Just would like to make a little note about myself : am nurse ( was in Ukraine), i moved to UK 7 years ago, work as medical secretary in Maternity House.
Hi, I've heard that pregnancy can sometimes cause weak positives on this type of tests. Just wait for your PCR and don't panic. Even if they find your hcv viral load being positive, etc. it's not end of the world. I am originally from Ukraine too, and got diagnosed with HCV when I moved to the U.S. and was going through IVF treatment... I have two beautiful healthy babies now. I started my interferon+riba therapy when my twins turn 1 year old - so far so good. Good luck!
My results are back today. Negative!!!
I am so happy!!! but i was so nervous last two weeks that i am afraid to relax now.
I asked doctor if i need to get more tests done, but i was told that no need to, all ok. Doc said that all results clear and i never had hep c, it was cross-reactions.
Can come back to life now.
Sunshines thank you very much for your support!!
