Hair hair everywhere

What's funny about Infergen, is that instead of losing my hair as in the past three treatments with Interferon and Pegasys, I actually grew a full head of hair and my curls came back? What?

However, it has now been seven weeks since getting off treatment, and as of two weeks ago, my hair has REALLY been falling off. I don't know if it's by the roots or just breaking off.

Anyone have this weird adventure?

I have 21 weeks left on treatment. The hair on my arms and legs disappeared early in treatment and the hair on my chest grew and I looked like a wooley mamoth. In the past month the hair on my head is not falling out as much, the hair has returned to my legs and arms and eye lashes have grown to where they hit my sunglasses and have to be trimmed. The tops of my ears are growing hair so I guess I am turning into a monkey. This medication does some weird things but good luck with the curls and and returning hair.

The hair on my legs , which wasn't much to start with , has really thined out over the years to the point of not really having any hair on my legs at all. Until tx started. I think it was in week 3 I started noticing all of this new long black hair on my legs where there was none before. Also , all of my adult life  ,I have battled with and on the verge of Peridontal Disease , gum bleeding , pockets ,etc... Not any more. It was determined this last wednesday thay all of my Peridontal issues had disappeared and were no longer there , my gums were in better shape than they have ever been , and there was no plaque on my teeth. I have done nothing different other than tx.
GO FIGURE.

Well although I lost like 50% of the hair on my head = I found that my eyebrows and eyelashes and leg hair and even FACIAL HAIR (which I never realized I had) started to grow like crazy!

I've become a tweezer ADDICT almost like a freak about it!

I don't nkow if it was the Interferon or the thyroid dying but I think it's the Int. that caused it. If I'm not careful I could become Wolfman's Wife!

Just another couple wierdo things to deal with in our lives right!

My hair got very thin during Pegasys, but when I stopped tx, it began to grow back fairly quickly.  I have been off tx about 18 months now and starting losing hair about 6 months ago.  Body hair too, very strange.  Figured out my thyroid was thrashed from IFN, hypothyroidismn can cause hair loss, might want to have thyroid level checked?

It does seem as tho there is not much good to say about infergen, this does not rock my boat, I believe my new doc is about ready to suggest infergen, woo hoo.  One thing about it, I can share here what goes on with me and infergen.  I can hardly wait.

Wow magnum!  I hope one of the other infergen people comes by to share their experience.  I am patiently waiting for my hair to stop coming out from Peg Intron, but I think I might have a couple more months to wait.  I hope it doesn't last long, and your hair gets back to normal soon!!!
