Hairey Scarey?

Hello everyone,
First of all I want to say thank all of you for being so candid and helpful on this forum. Im 55 years old and will be seeking treatment using Boce this year once its approved. Im freaked out over many things such as getting sick from the meds and going bald doesnt help. Gosh do you loose eyelashes and brows too! I lost a loved one to hep c and it was a devastating experience. Has anyone been in the Boce trial yet? Can you shrare your experience with me.

You wont go bald.......your hair might thin and get dry and crack off but you won't go bald it's not like that.

And you just remember why you are doing this.......and it makes it easier.  Plus I bought a bunch of wigs on ebay and made it kind of fun matching them to my outfits and stuff, people thought I was nuts but it made me happy anyway.

Your eyelashes will grow so long you will freak out, we call them llama lashes because they grow so long that they'll hit your glasses! unfortunately though they go back to normal again after treatment that is one side effect I wouldn't have minded keeping!

And then there are those of us who have had none of the side effects that you have mentioned  and  lots of folks in between. You just don"t know till you dive in!

NY girl is right.  It is the wierdest thing about eyelashes and eyebrow.  Eyelashes will hit your glasses.  Eyebrows look like Groucho Marx.  I remember pulling some out that were more than half an inch long!

I got the eyebrow thing too... have to trim them all the time. I also got a super case of peach fuzz... long peach fuzz. I only lost about 1/4 of my hair on my head... and the great thing is... I only have to shave my legs about once every other month.

You just basically will never know until you start tx.

Confused-Hair is hair why do your eyelashes grow long but the hair on your head thins??? kinda wierd !!!! cindy

Oh yeah the peach fuzz I had forgotten all about that it made me crazy I was always looking in the mirror with my tweezers in hand during treatment!
