I need help! How can  someone get the new Hepc drug Harvoni with no insurance and who doesn't qualify for government insurance????
I know its super expensive ! Looking to hear from anyone with some good advice.

I contacted support path as well. My case manager said I may get a few no's before getting harvoni but if its best for my genotype they will help my fight for it. I feel ad if I can actually sleep tonight! support path also gave me the same information jules2551 has^^. @skylar411 where are you at in the application process??

I WENT TO TULANE HOSPITAL IN NEW ORLEANS, TURNED DOWN BY MEDICAIDE, TLC PHARM. IN HARVEY, LA. WAS CONTACTED BY TULANE, GOT MY TAX RECORDS, THEN DID ALL PAPERWORK FOR ME. I ONLY HAD TO SIGN ONCE I WAS APPROVED. TWO WEEKS LATER GILEAD IS NOW PAYING FOR ALL TREATMENT, THANKS GILEAD, WENT IN 4 WEEKS AFTER STARTING,HARVONI, WENT FROM 1.8 MILLION DOWN TO 20,, 2 WEEKS LATER I FEEL LIKE ITS COMPLETELY GONE, BRAIN FOG IS CLEARING, ARTHRITIS IS LEAVING MY BODY, WOW, I FEEL HUMAN AGAIN AFTER 32 YEARS WITH IT. MAYBE YOU CAN GO STRAIGHT THROUGH GILEAD, NOT SURE, IF YOU DONT HAVE INSURANCE AND MAKE GOOD MONEY, I DONT KNOW WHAT YOUR OPTIONS ARE, IF YOU QUALIFY FOR FREE CARE IN A PUBLIC HOSPITAL THEY MAY HELP YOU ALSO, GOOD LUCK, IT WORKS, ITS MUCH CHEAPER IN SOME COUNTRIES, OUT OF POCKET IS ALMOST 90Gs.

If you don't have one already you will need to get a Dr to sign off on this.  They will want your viral load #'s, genotype, liver panels, CBC, and drug/alcohol testing.  Once your Dr runs those tests and prescribes you the Harvoni they will want a copy of your tax returns for last year.  If you made less than $100,000.00 they will supply it free for you.  This is the process I had to go through.

You could probably get the meds for free through gilead support path but you will still have to find a doctor that will treat you.
