The kinds of things you are concerned about are the same whether you are doing Harvoni or Viekira Pak.
My treatment is harvoni for those inquiring
P.S. And don't forget that what happens in the real world is often very different than what happens in a clinical trial where patients are hand-picked for success. It takes some of us much longer to reach undetected.
I was detected at 4 weeks on Viekira Pak and went on to SVR. 4 weeks is not a requirement for SVR and neither is 8 weeks. Some people are even detected at end of treatment and still go on to SVR. Try not to worry too much. Early Rapid Response is no longer meaningful with the new DAA's.
Hi again,
I just posted on your other thread. While KoKo is right in reporting seen data, 'MOST people @ 4wks) is a question I have. I have seen many low(like you) but not undetected at 4 weeks, to go on to be NOT detected at next PCR RNA. I was detected @ 4 weeks @ 550 by 8 I was NOT DETECTED & am now 8 wks post EOT> NOT DETECTED & very hopeful :-) see my numbers on your other thread~ Randy
I am still detected at my 4week viral load 60 very concerned about the 12 weeks viral load I will have failed
I think there is some confusion over the use of terms.
"8 weeks and have cured "
There is no thing as cured at 8 weeks. Cured is 12 weeks after treatment ends or EOT and SVR12. For others they consider themselves cured at SVR24. Plus I'm not sure what cocktail your are referring to. You could be more specific? Harvoni? (too soon to tell) S/O?
Perhaps you mean 8 weeks that are undetected? These new drugs make most people in treatment go undetected at 4 weeks.
Are there any who have completed by now the 8 weeks and have cured with a viral load under 6 million still waiting to hear from people
Were you tx naive? What stage and viral load were you
.Sorry for the questions. I have 23 days left on 8 weeks.
This is Millie.
I was on Harvoni for 8 weeks. Started in October 20th.. Insurance would only cover 2 months.
I am still Not-Detected. See dr. next week. So I am assuming that if I am not dected through June 20th - I have reached SVR.
It's almost unreal.
That is great news I am week 3 may I ask what was your viral load and stage of fibrosis. Thank you
I had an 8 week post treatment blood test the other day and I am still UND. I was on the 8 week Harvoni treatment.
I hope you all get to UND....then SVR!! Please let everyone know.
I hope others will respond here
I am F2 1a 2million viral load tx naive
They say it's about f0-f1 fibroscan score of 2.5 and baseline viral load was 690,000 and am 1a
That is great news, what stage is your fibrosis?
I am also in Canada and on an 8 week treatmemt I am in day 31. I feel great no sides and I am hoping for a cure! Congrats on being approved !
Thank you. Best wishes for your SVR as well!
Thank you I wish Svr for you and everyone Will be starting next week I got the approval today and my case nurse does not work Fridays. Gilead is picking up the 20%my insurance doesn't pay. So grateful for Gilead. They have been wonderful I live in Canada.
Here's a link that shows a 94% SVR rate from a Harvoni trial:

I'm going to be starting on an 8 week duration very soon.
