Has anyone gotten the rash and then it's gone?

On the fifth day of triple tx my body developed the rash, it wasn't itchy thank god..Yesterday 2 weeks into treatment I noticed the rash was gone.  Believe me I'm not complaining but was just wondering if this has happened to anyone else.

Hi there.  It may depend on which rash you have.  I had the RIBA (Ribavirin) rash vs the Incivek rash.  The rash was crazy itchy for a couple of days.  I finally got it to calm down with Gold Bond Medicated Lotion.  This isn't the 'best' picture, so click on 'all photos' to zoom out if it makes it easier to view.

I have been itchy on and off, throughout, but no new rash.  I am treating with Victrelis, and am thankful not to have to deal with the INC rash, which is significantly worse, and longer in duration (from what I have read here).

My rash moves around like a deadbeat tenant avoiding the landlord-never know when/where it will pop up to 'Gotcha!" My skin is very dry and I slather/absorb 100% African Nilotica Shea Butter all over my body and have gotton down to fast, cooler showers w/milk soap, every other night if possible on weekends (no kiddo germs from school). Right now nausea is becoming more of an issue more than anything; ralphed in the school nurse's office last week, greatly entertaining some wide-eyed 6 year olds in the process.Blech!

Side effects including rash will come and go with trt.  The rash on my back flares up when I'm exposed to more heat and sweating, and notice during stressful weeks it seems to get worse.  I need to apply lotion more often which does keep the skin in better condition.  When it doesn't itch, I tend to forget to apply lotion which is not smart.  Also, avoid hot showers.  OTC's like hydrocortisone cremes and antihistamines help calm it down.  Good luck with trt.
