Help!!! Bad Shot Tonight

This evening I think I may have ruined myPegasys injection.
I use the Proclick and when I  remove it I saw liquild running down my leg.
Maybe I didn't hold it properly or something. I'm not sure how much medication
went in body.

What should I do?

This happens to many ,, actually I dare say most Reva at one time or another.. Usually the amount is not enough to  worry about

What looks like a lot on your leg is usually much less than you think and at worse even if it was a good amount this late in the game for you it would be insignificant

You will be fine..

I have heard this happening to others and they have said that in the directions it says some leakage is normal. I have no experience with it but  I'm sure someone else will respond as well. Hope it helps for now.

How much did it leak you might want to add...

Not sure why you are using your leg, IMO belly was a better choice. I felt that I had more control and more to hold onto if you would. Not much fat on legs especially during treatment. Sure you will be fine like someone above said, it happens. Good luck with the rest of treatment.

Not sure how much was lost.

I agree with what Will said it is probably less than it looked like.

I just hope it was not the entire amount and that some got it my system.

I've heard of other folks having this problem, but never had the problem

myself. I'm really disappointed. Don't know how I did this.

Have always used leg.
Can't get to using my stomach.

This is not the first time I treated and I've never had this problem before.

Won't be using stomach. Thanks for suggestion, but it takes a lot for
me to inject and I can see my leg better than my stomach.

So sorry...try not to stress. Do you think some went in? Was the needle loose when you finished? Poor baby...

Don't know I was in shock.

I don't feel too good this morning so some probably got in.

I can't do anything about it but try to do better in the future .

My tx has really been difficult the last few weeks with Incivek problems

and a with  sick parents.  They have almost driven me crazy. I appreciate

the support.

Hey there!  I am sure you only lost a bit and if you are feeling the effects this morning  you got enough in.  Liquid always looks like so much more than it is.  So sorry you are having such a hard time
It does get better, hang in there

I think you're fine. I'm not an expert but Pegasys has such a long half life that if you  didn't get it all, it is probably enough. Plus you said you aren't feeling well. I think about 3  to 4 times before I got proclick I leaked too much out of the syringe prior to injection, and had several leaky shots. Do you have any help with your parents?

Hang in there Rev....you've got more than your share going on in your life.  Take some time out for yourself and try to relax.  (I know easier said than done)!  Take care of YOURSELF first.

Just joining those who are trying to console you (can you believe this, my iPhone just tried to auto-correct "console" and turn it into "obsolete"?) I have also leaked what seemed like a lot of my injection one time fairly early in my tx, but it never seemed to make any difference. Remember, lots of people have their interferon dosage reduced on purpose and still do quite well, so one accidental reduction is unlikely to make any difference. Try to put aside the worries!

Dear Reva, pls. try not to take it so hard. It happens, you did not do anything wrong.I had similar situation  recently myself. Now I always put an alcohol swab or gauze over the puncture site as soon as I remove the needle with little pressure  and gently massage the area. You will be fine. Take care of yourself ,love Naya

No help.
My mother's sister called me today to tell me if I needed her
tomorrow she'd be with her kids for brunch. Then she named
each and everyone.

I will try to put this behind me and move on.

I understand your frustration! I think we'll be fine (same inj. issues recently). I'm giving up on the worry, too.

Thanks, at least we all know we're  not in this alone.

We are going to be fine.
