Help I am so confused as if you have not heard that one!

I was admitted back in october 2001 with viral pneumonia and they found liver enzymes elevated extremely.  Ran all the hep tests with gastro.  DX: viral hepatits with unknown origin.  Ok, they said it would resolve itself.  Enzymes fell went normal three to four consecutive draws.  Three weeks ago gall bladder failure and removal.  Right before surgery blood tests revealed slight elevations sgot.  Three weeks later, admitted with pneumonia and elevated enzymes again.  All doctors confirm surgery should not have elevated enzymes.  I have appt with hepatologist in March.  Meantime, I am so weak and tired and have trouble breathing constant infection muscle aches, diarrhea, chronic stomach pain.  They are saying hep again.  I will insist on biopsy this round.  My question is can it be possible to have hepatits without it showing with the specific tests that are done to determine if it is A, B, C, Etc.  Will the biopsy tell me more.  They keep calling it hepatitis and I have all the symptoms and I am getting extremely depressed over being sick and missing work and have been hospitalized constantly.  Does anyone have any kind of suggestions or help or insight.  I work in a high risk environment as a health professional where I am exposed to bodily fluids in a low income area.  I have never had any kind of liver problem till after obtaining this job and it started approximately 30-40 days after employment.  I use universal precautions but nothing is a 100% accurate.  Could this be how I contacted this? Also I had not had previous gall bladder problems either
