Help with hep b blood test results

Im sure this gets asked a lot, but I wanted to see if someone could help me interperate my hep c results.  Also, rhis is an acute hepatitis panel 8 months after possible exposure.  Would antibodies still show if I had chronic hep c?

It says: hep c virus ab results:  >.01

  Negative  .09
  Indeterminate .8- .9

I read this as negative, but I really am doubting myself.  If anyone can let me know, I would appreciate it more than you know.

Thank you very much.

What was your specific result? If it was less than .8 you are definitely negative for hep c antibodies.

Anyone who was ever infected with hep c even whencuredfor the virus will forever test positive for antibodies. Hep c antibodies are not the virus they arenas by your own body when it fights the virus. Antibodies are a part of your bodies immune system.

Have you had a liver enzyme panel done? If your liver enzymes are in normal range that is another indication that likely you are not infected

Thank you for your quick answer.  My results were .1, and liver function was normal, but on a recent ag b ratio, it showed high and I read that could be a sign of liver disease.  That had me freaking out that I was wrong on my results and the hepatic panel I did says acite hepatitis.  I knew I was probably being silly, but needed to have someone confirm it.  That you once again!
So then whatever is going on with your ag b ratio you should ask a doctor about that I am not familiar with that test.

But it is correct you do not have hep c antibodies so it is not hep c causing anything. As you have normal liver enzymes it does not appear your liver is currently under attack.

However, I am not a medical professional of any type for a diagnosis you should always see your personal physician.
