Hep C Antibodies

I was just informed by my doctor that I tested positive for the Hep C Antibody and that Normal is .9 and my count is over 11.
What does that mean?
Do I have the virus or not?
Does anybody know for sure or do I have to have a biopsy to determin whether I'm infected or not?

I'm not sure what the numbers mean. However, you do not need a biopsy to confirm whether or not you have hepatitis C. You need a blood test that looks for virus in the blood. It is called HCV/RNA by PCR. Patients call it a viral load test. The antibodies mean you were exposed to hep C at some point. The viral load test tells whether you have the actual virus. Good luck.
