Actually, I was thanking you. You kind of figure anyone coming to this site would know they might get an emotional nut case on tx responding ! My big problem is I am so sarcastic and people don't always know that I'm joking.

OH: Oh, I probably was a bit harsh, sometimes I get frustrated, but I should be more sympathetic, cause God knows I've been there, and I still do go there, and I prob will all my life, cause I'm a work in progress like everybody else....but we all know things to help us feel better, and I prob throw them at other people too much, which is my own problem, the need to fix ...
it's like the old joke...a guy walks into a doctor's office, and says to the doctor, gee Doc, every time I bang my head against the wall, it hurts so much! Doc answers, well, have you tried not banging your head on the wall?
It's so simple, yet so hard not to do! OH, I would love to hang with you in SF, maybe we could bring Goof along too, and a few other nutballs we can scare up in the area, :)) I think he's got your info...anybody that would want to come from here, it would be a gas!....No that wasn't the same pic, you gotta good memory!
Ladywhy: one thing I think really helps is steam baths, for just a little while if youre txing...I know youre on tx...helps take out the toxins from your skin and system, and this way, you don't have to scrub ( I know youre skin is sensitive right now)...course, you can make your own with a shower...I bought an apparatus to put in my shower, but you can make a make shift one too...be well!

ok...I'll begin with the lying down part...can do..."shallow" breathing exercises :)...lots of water..can do... stock up on veg/fruit...can do.
Exercise and yoga...no can do...that will have to wait 'til after tx...

Well, there are people on here ( a few) who know me in real life, so that computer dating trick of getting out your highschool yearbook pic wouldn't pan out, ha ha ha! although I think I looked hideous in my yearbook pic...and I look way older then that anyway...I just take really good care of myself, and I'm vain too to boot, he he he...
I try to exercise as much as I can (though I can't as much, as days of yore, do to the hep maybe? but maybe mostly do the menopause too...six of one, half dozen of the other...I drink a lot of water, fruits and veggies, etc etc, I only eat junkfood on the rare occasion...I do yoga, and this sounds funny, I make sure that I lie down and stretch and do breathing exercises, cause I think aging has a lot to do with pent-up stress in the body and mind..
And also, you can see my wrinkles and lines in the bigger version of this pic, one of the nice by-products of shrinking this down so much, is those other things shrink as well, lol....thanks for the compliments though, needed them today...! So glad there are so many well informed, wonderful, funny women on this board!

Hi...it's nice to hear from you and I also look out for your posts. Girl, is that a recent pic or from 20 yrs. ago? If it's recent...please, please tell me your secrets (other than genetics :), you look fantastic! this is not to flatter....i'm sure you get a lot of that. I really want to KNOW. lol

Awww - the colonoscopy is a piece of cake - in a manner of speaking. -:) It's the preparation that will get you.LOL OMGoodness! You start out by fasting and then there are 2 types of preps. The one I had to do was a gallon of stuff that tasted like soapy water. ! The directions say that once you start drinking this stuff, don't be too far from the bathroom. You must be kidding!!! You can't get OUT of the bathroom, much less be far from it. You start this stuff by drinking 8ozs every 10 minutes, and then pretty soon you take it, the glass, a gallon of water for chaser, a good book - game boy - puzzles or something time consuming into that room (& if you don't live alone hopefully you have 2 of) cause honey you aint leavin' there FOR A WHILE!!! You might want to put some KY on the seat first because by the time it's over, the 2 of you will have become 1. Then when things have eased enough to remove yourself from that room and if you can still breathe, you might want to consider adding a pad to your wearing attire until you get to the hospital the next day

youre too funny..it's nice to share some of these indignities...tonight I had to wipe a bit of poo on a little square with holes on it, that's enveloped in plastic, so some poor lab tech can analyze it for microscopic droplets of blood I guess...I sat there, doing this rather disgusting task, thinking how strange it is...here, I'm scooping up some poop for a little square, and then the poor lab tech at the other end of this process, looking at my poop...so sad, and yet poignant at the same time:) Well, guess this is all just junior leagues compared to the colonoscopy...can't wait for that...

Well - I kind of gave up trying to hide it --- everyone noticed that I lost 40 pounds and looked like a crackhead on steroids - LMAO!
Now I just tell everyone... and when they get that deer in the headlight look --- I reach over and take their glass of whatever and hold it --- kinda drooling and making a dramatic show of wiping the drool --- and having a crazed look in my eye --- and I lean forward in a conspiratorily way and say something like "And you know, if you breathe the air I'm breathing chances are you're going to get horrible indigestion and internal bleeding and you'll start drooling like this... It's one of the first signs you know?" Then I say "You'll have to get your rabies shots - just for standing within 2 feet of me"... "You didn't touch me or anything did you?" and I'll look worriedly around....
Then I lighten up after they turn four shades of green - and I say "Just playin' - seriously you don't know much about it do ya?" And they'll sheepishly admit they don't.
And I'll kinda tell them enough to let them know that we could probably have 8 different styles of sex without having to worry about them catching it. And I tell them the basics...
And by then - they've got a small clue --- I've done my duty about passing the word on with a little humor... And they are not terrified of people with HCV anymore.
That's just the way I do it --- and ya know what --- I don't have people treating me any differently --- EXCEPT at work -- where they have their own little clique --- that I've never wanted to be a part of anyway... LOL! They can stay away from me as far as I'm concerned... I truly hate gossipy, fake people... and unfortunately in this business that is all there is when it comes to female co-workers. So I just hope they keep thinking I'm contagious with the air I breathe - and anything I touch --- besides -- it's kind of nice to come to work to a clean room --- keyboard sterilized - etc... LOL! --- Shhh... Don't tell them... The bathroom has never been so clean...

We may have to have a "Dear Goofy" thread to help you navigate the single world again. Not in that position myself, although I wonder why not, there are probably some pitfalls to avoid.
Being svr, as point out, helps you avoid that situation in a crowded bar. You know, when the noise suddenly deadens as you are in mid-sentence saying 'so, do you know much about blood-borne viruses'?. Also on the prohibited list these days (I'm told) is poop discussion (save it for a thread), hemorrhoids, anything jewel-encrusted that is not considered, well, jewelry. Colonoscopies, until at least the second conversation. Be careful on the general topic of camels, you don't smoke them, love them or stare at them.

I hear what you're saying about the awkwardness of dating and the HCV deal. I'm in the midst of divorce after a marriage of about the same length, and thank my lucky stars that I'm SVR - among the reasons is that I don't need to have that conversation whenever I'm ready to start dating. Still, it's not like the whole Hep thing isn't a converation that needs to happen..... hard enough re-establishing the whole social scene without the excess baggage --- Oh well... it's all fun and worth it!

I get confused about everyone's stats, but I remember you're about 10 weeks behind me, right, so that means you're at week 24 or so of 48?
FWIW - i haven't left the house in two days. There were weeks, early on, when I didn't leave the house for up to 5 days!
i try to stock up on groceries and stuff on my 'good' days, usually Thursday and Friday.
Man. . .what a way to live, huh? but I'm grateful i can do everything myself. I may do things real slow, but I pace myself as much as possible or, rather, the virus paces me whether I want to be paced or not.

Hey. Glad to hear that you are so close. No my Drs. are in Granbury. Becuz my case is so complicated with the Ca.they may hook up with someone in Ft. Worth. Who knows though ? Its for sure not me. When I requrie hospitalization I go to Harris Methodist downtown Ft.worth. Right now I have 3 Drs. on my case. Liver, Internal and Oncologist. Maybe with 3 of them they can figure out whats happening. Would love to make friends. Don't have alot of them in this town. There too nosy and they gossip way too much. Don't like to give them anything real to talk about. I do like to give them alot of juicy untrue **** though. Then I can just sit back watch and laugh as the towns busybodies take off with it. LOL I'm from here so I'm pretty use to it. Its comical. Have friends in Ft.Worth as well as family. Good to meet you. Maybe sometime we can get together. The rivers are beautiful right now. I love to go down there and sit in the waterfall. Free spa, massage and great sun. Gods natural form of prozac. I love to be out in the sun. It makes me feel so much better. Hope to chat again soon. I am very honest too but I don't think they need to know about Hep unless you plan on taking the realationship to the next level. That aint happening for me. Pushing just to date anyone from here. Pretty much live in a town full of cowboys and rednecks. The bad part, all the good ones are taken. I moved back here a little over 5 yrs ago and still trying to figure out why. Was I on glue or what ??? LOL After I got back I started getting sick with the ca. and it gone downhill since. Been gone since mid April traveling. Was in Cali for 3 mo. visiting friends and my brother. Then came back to Glen Rose for 2 wks and went to La. Gulf Shores Ala, and got to go to Penn. Florida. Have actually been running from reality. Wow. You just can't run far or fast enough can you ???? Reality always catches up. So here I am again and ready to proceed with hep tx or atleast I think I am..... Take care and don't be afraid to date. It offers distraction, friendship things to do and if you get lucky you'll find a great guy who will understand your circumstances. Worse case senerio, you get a free dinner out of it. Always go for the dinner and maybe even movies or dancing. Thats always fun. I would date more but its slim pikins on my end. And believe me you would rater be single. Dinner her would be Dairy Queen. LOL Dancing would be Boot Scootin (not my cup of tea), and we don't have a movie theater so I'm screwed. Well actually I'm not. Guess I'm gonna go blind. LOL (referring to topic of sex issue posted on forum. Its still cracking me up.... Take care and please keep in touch. Prayers to all..... Becky
