Hep C and love ??!!!!!

Hi again my freinds , well while i am searching on the net about lots of things i found that liver diseases like Hep.C can affect the ability to do sex with wife or husband, well first of all i can live with Hep.C and no problem with that ( as i am alone now ) but after i get engeged that will be a problem >> i mean i am  worried about that Hep.C can affect my ability to do sex with my wife i am 27 now but i didnot know yet how bad is my case ( no PCR no Sonar ray no liver enzemes tests only ruselts of positive Anti-HCV. so is that true ??? if the Hep.C affect the quality of Sex proccess and i know  alos that depatites ( sugar sickness can affect the sex proccess with husbands ) i dont know how to explain this but i am sure you know what i am talking about .

well... im 44 i have had it for like 20+ years, treated and failed stage 2/grade 2 and... i have sex ALL THE TIME

i dont think hep-c effects your sex drive, maybe worrying about it all the time does but not the disease itself..

there are a few studies that do find a correlation bt hep c infection and ED, you can do a web search on hep c and sexual dysfunction to find the pertinent studies.

I too have had it many years and my hubby has as well, never stopped us, even now on tx. I dont think it is the HCV you need to worry about, there would have to be other issues.

This finding does not fit with my experience. 30 years of HCV, and no sign of this problem.

Its possible that treatment sx can contribute to sexual disfunction, but not so sure about HCV itself as a cause.

I thought I remembered seeing a study that had a strong correlation between increasing HCV levels and decreasing sexual frequency.  No wait- that was increasing marriage years ....

Just make sure that when you set aside your pills for the day, you know which one is the 6-dose (pink)and which is the 1-dose (blue). Or, is it the other way around?   Get ready for a beauty of a headache.

the article is published in reputable sites and backed by scientific data.  you might not  get anything more than opinions from a patient to patient forum, here.
you have to decide whether the study has been sucessful in factoring in and ruling out things like depression as the cause.  I am not sure if there are anymore studies on the subject. I might have read another one in last year's AASLD conference, but did not bookmark it, since it was not my main interest.
be prepare to not getting many responses on your fear, it happens often when folks can not relate to the question.
