Hep C and sexual trans.

Hi guys,  My bf has hep C.  I've read on the internet that sexual transmission is very low.  Can anyone confirm this?  Has anyone transmitted or received this disease from sex?

sexual transmission is rare but possible.  Male to female  sexual transmission is more likely than female to male.

its very low but if you share razors, toothbrushes etc, there is a larger chance of transmission.  mremeet has good advice.  Just get a basic hep panel run, and get vaccinated for a and b while you're at it if you haven't been already.

Have yourself tested right away, there's no sense in worrying yourself sick. There are many people here who've been having unprotected sex for decades with their uninfected spouses and have not transmitted it. Even mother to child transmission is very low. But sexually speaking, it can happen, albeit rarely. No sense in sweating it out, just get tested ASAP.
