Hep C

What would be the safest pain med to take for chronic severe muscle pains? Have Hep C for at least 18-20 years.

I agree with Trin. Talk to your doctor. We don't know your health history, allergies, current meds etc. and what might or what might not be appropriate for you. "Doctor knows best".

Yes you're right Soma is a very effective drug for muscle spasms.

I took soma for years and still take it.  Soma=muscle relaxer

Well you certainly don't want to take morphine or any of the opiates therein.  I am on methadone prescribed by a doctor for back pain and I feel it's the safest for me but you could prolly take darvon or darvon-N.  Best to talk it over with your doctor.  good luck

That would depend of the amount of liver damage you have, they type of medication and the dosage needed to control the pain.  You really need to talk to your GI or hepatologist about that.
