Hi, if you have 2 million Viral load this is an active Virus.... you may not have much damage and that might be what whoever told you its non active meant.  However this virus can be a time bomb, no telling what its going to do.  Many people live with it and die of something else, but you are contagious..
Also many people die of it or require a liver transplant or get liver cancer... the stress of having this disease was a heavy burden for me.
There is treatment and many people are getting good results, please see a hepatologist and look into your options.
good luck

You posted the same question in less than 15 minutes.
Please have some patience.

Why do you think you have nonactive hep C with this viral load?
This does not make sense. Have you seen a doctor?

Not feeling right, can be caused from many things. Nobody on a forum can tell you why you don't feel right, even if you have active hep C.

I agree with Mary. You need to see a good liver doctor, hepatologist.

good luck,
OH

Hi bellabo, maybe whoever told you it is "non-active Hep C" meant to say it was "chronic Hep C" (as opposed to "acute Hep C").  If you search this forum for information about Hep C, you will find lots of information, and most of it will be referring to chronic Hep C, as you have (if you've had it for a long time).  Most of the time, people do not experience symptoms with chronic Hep C, until the disease has progressed enough to affect the functioning of the liver.  Most of the time, people discover they have chronic Hep C when they have lab work done for some other reason and their doctor notices a change in some of the liver function tests and orders more lab work to find out why.  Feeling "not right" is probably, in my humble opinion, not a symptom of your chronic Hep C.  However, since you know you have chronic Hep C, and you know that the Hep C virus is slowly damaging your liver over time, I agree with the others above, it is essential that you get to a gastroenterologist or a hepatologist and find out more about your Hep C virus (what genotype, what sub-type) and about the condition of your liver (how much liver damage).  If you have had Hep C for a long time and if you have a lot of liver damage, your doctor will help you decide when and how best to treat to try to get rid of the virus so that you can stop the damage to your liver.

Absolutely no such thing as "non-active" Hep C.  Good luck.

The reason I was pushing my doctor originally was because I didn't feel right. I knew I didn't have the energy like people around me. Had tried everything from working out, to diet, to vitamins, etc.

I am happy to say that I have more energy now than I can remember and have 6 weeks left of treatment. Am thankful to have figured it all out and looking forward to a better life.
