HepC, Ribavarian/Peg & Blood Results

Hello Readers!
I have a few questions if anyone would like too try and help out, I'd be grateful. Hepatitis c positive. Male. Genotype 3A - Viral load 1,588, 762. Have had liver biopsy done. Just started interferon (6 months of treatment/plan) in January of this year. The above was the viral load. 2 weeks after starting interferon had another blood test was done and there are a few things i noticed that i'm curious about. In males, why would IRON be slightly high?
Also showed slightly high RBC, and Galucous. The first blood test taken after interferon started stated that the OLD testing procedure has been replaced by a new testing procedure, i want too say it said COBRA? and that the numbers might be slightly off and the dr's should be careful until they get a good baseline and understanding of patients health. The blood results from BEFORE starting interferon AND AFTER are showing slightly high RBC, Galucous, and Iron. Now because it was slightly high BEFORE starting and now still showing high 2 weeks into treatment, what things cause RBC too be slightly high as well as the galucous and iron?
Doing ok with the treatment, have lost some weight, but have been more active and have been under some stress, since starting the interferon a total of a month ago now. I notice when i take the 2 ribavarian once in the morning and once in the evening, i get real tired for a few hours and it gradually goes away with a nice nap, BUT i also want too note when i do my injection/peg  on Friday nights and then take the 2 rabavarian i PUKE AND get these coughing fits that end up going away. Is it ok, on injection day too take the 2 ribavarain a few hours BEFORE doing the injection OR MUST THEY be done together/injection/and ribavarian? If i could spread the two out in the evening by a few hours it wouldnt be so bad on injection day.
I heard drs want too see a decline in the viral load in the 2nd and 3rd test, but how much of a drop and should i be worried if i dont  see a  drop in the 2nd but a little in the 3rd blood test? do some people just take a little longer too respond too treatment?
Any input would be great
Thanks
Anita

Hi anita, I am also on Peg/Rib 800mg/day. I usually take my injection friday evening around 7pm and my 2 ribavirin around 8pm. I'm almost 5wks tx now. Was a little scared at first to take them both around the same time. So far so good.
Sorry I can't comment on the blood work.

take care,
Darla
