I posted this in a thread below, but am re-posting here.

My husband recently tested positive for hep C, geno 2b. He has had joint pain for years and tested positive for rheumatoid arthritis several months ago. I have done a little reading about the hepC

I don't understand why the title of my post keeps coming up "HepC" when I titled it "HepC & rheumatoid arthritis & atrial fibrillation" ??  Could be the fog again...

I was RA factor positive before tx and had a lot of joint pain. After a couple months on tx the joint pain went away, then 2 months post tx it came back but much less intense for about a month then it went away once again. I am over 1 year post tx and have no joint pain ( I run 4x a week) and I am now RA normal. My hepatologist said not to get my ra tested until at least 6 mnths post tx. He had told me he thought it would be ok after tx but it takes a bit to get back to normal. It is truly wonderful not to have that pain. Hope this helps. I'll be away for the weekend but I'll check in a couple day if you have further questions. I am still awaiting more test for post tx problems but I am SVR after 18 months of tx. Have a nice weekend. That is really great news...  I was hoping someone would have a good story like that to give him something a little extra to look forward to.  I know he may not have the same results, but it's something promising out there.

Thanks again...
